Purpose  

To ensure members receive proper compensation for approved work of the Union. 

Scope  Members  

Policy Statement  

To ensure members representing the ME&E committee receive proper  compensation for their work in establishing and maintaining this committee  

Procedure 

To be composed of six (6) members, plus a liaison from Local Executive 

A chair to the committee shall be determined by committee members 

May be tasked to be moderators on the SUN Local 100 Facebook page 

The committee will collaborate and have regular meetings via zoom/in-person (quarterly) 

Provide opportunities and awareness for member engagement and education such as nursing week, holiday socials, retirement educational session, etc. 

Funding 

Committee members each to be funded up to 32 hours annually.  Record of work completed, and time required to complete the work will be required prior to issue of funding.  

Committee chair to be funded up to 96 hours annually.  Record of work completed, and time required to complete the work will be required prior to issue of funding.  

Funds Allocated 

Allocation of funds for committee work to be determined annually by preparation of the budget.
