Purpose To ensure members receive proper compensation for  approved work of the Union 

Scope Members 

Policy Statement  

To ensure members representing the NAC committee receive proper compensation  for their work in establishing and maintaining this committee 

Procedure  

To be composed of a chairperson (1) and four (4) members; totaling five (5)  members 

To be responsible for representing the Local in reviewing and making recommendations relative to patient care 

To be utilized as a collaborative approach in solving problems at the unit level 

To function as outlined in the SUN/SAHO Collective Agreement (Appendix C) 

To be responsible for educating and encouraging members in utilization of the  process of documentation in work situation reports 

Funding 

NAC chair to receive up to 16 hours per month to complete approved work associated with new WSR’s, follow up on WSR’s and work associated with NAC meetings.  

NAC Committee members to receive up to 8 hours per month to complete approved committee work.   

Reimbursement 

Wages to attend NAC meetings are to be billed to the employer per the CBA.
